Regular City Council Meeting <br /> Monday,June 03, 2013 <br /> Page 38 <br /> applicants by ranking and screening for minimum requirements and a 100 point <br /> structure system weighted at the direction of the City Council and their prefer- <br /> ences; and potential ability of individual Councilmembers to add additional can- <br /> didates from the pool that may not have been selected by a search firm through <br /> the essay phase, e-mailed to finalists online and separate from the initial phase. <br /> Further discussion included establishing parameters for salary range, exclusion of <br /> moving expenses; and essential contractual terms basic to the application process <br /> itself. <br /> Mayor Roe focused on the next step in collating the remainder of Survey Monkey <br /> information; and scheduling a special meeting and possible facilitated discussion <br /> within the next few weeks depending on the availability of individual Coun- <br /> cilmembers. <br /> Willmus moved, Laliberte seconded, extending the curfew by five minutes to <br /> 10:05 p.m. <br /> Roll Call <br /> Ayes: Willmus; Etten; McGehee; Laliberte; and Roe. <br /> Nays: None. <br /> Ms. Bacon sought clarification on her next steps, with City Attorney Bartholdi <br /> reminding Councilmembers of the need to allow 10 days for a bid process in ac- <br /> cordance with State of MN bidding laws. <br /> After further deliberation, Ms. Bacon was directed to prepare an open-ended RFP <br /> to be provided to the Executive Search Firms (updated in May of 2013) included <br /> as Attachment C in the packet, with the inclusion of the Cincinnatus firm in <br /> downtown Minneapolis at the request of Councilmember Laliberte; and following <br /> the draft RFP with each step defined and a cost assigned by the consultant for <br /> each of those steps allowing the City Council to select which components were of <br /> interest to them. <br /> 15.
