The aggregation and transportation of recyclable materials from the place at <br />which it is generated and includes all activities up to the time when it is <br />delivered to a recycling facility. <br /> 4.10 Commodity <br />Any individual material, including specific industrial grade, as defined by <br />this Agreement. <br />4.11 Contractor <br />The City’s recycling service Contractor under the new contract beginning <br />operation on January 1, 2014. <br />4.12 Corrugated cardboard (OCC) <br />Cardboard material with double wall construction and corrugated separation <br />between walls including boxes for delivery and take out pizzas. Does not <br />include plastic, waxed or other coated cardboard. <br />4.13 Curbside <br />The area of public right of way between the property line and the curb or <br />edge of the street, but not on the street. <br />4.14 Curbside recycling bins <br />Uniform curbside recycling bins (e.g., blue, plastic recycling tubs) in which <br />recyclables can be stored and later placed for curbside collection, as <br />specified by the City. Bins must include the City of Roseville’s curbside <br />recycling logo on two sides. <br />4.15 Curbside recycling carts <br />Wheeled carts used as part of a single-stream collection system. Carts shall <br />be consistent in colors and design with a recycling symbol that is at least 4” <br />tall on two sides and approved instruction label on each lid, so as to be easily <br />identified by the resident/customer and the Contractor Driver as the <br />container for recyclable materials collection. <br />4.16 Curbside recycling service <br />The recycling collection service, together with related public education and <br />other customer services, specified within this RFP utilizing curbside <br />recycling pickup. <br /> 4.17 Dual Sort <br />A system where residents separate their recycling into two categories: paper <br />products and bottles and cans (see 4.07 City-designated recyclables). <br />Recyclables are kept in their two distinct categories through collection at <br />curbside and transportation to a processing facility. Recyclables are then <br />processed separately and sorted into commodities for sale. <br />9 <br /> <br />
