• <br />C_� <br />REQUEST FOR VARIANCE BOARD ACTION <br />DATE: 1 /03/07 <br />ITEM NO: 4a <br />Department Approval: <br />Agenda Section: <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />Item Description <br />Jerald Ronke seeks VARIANCES to §1004 (Residential Districts) to <br />allow the construction of a residential addition which would encroach into <br />the required rear yard setback and cause impervious surface area on the lot <br />to exceed the maximum allowable coverage (PF07-003). <br />1.0 REQUESTED ACTION: <br />1.1 Mr. Ronke seeks variances to § 1004 (Residential Districts) of the City Code to allow the <br />construction of a new garage with structures connecting it to the principal building. The <br />proposed addition would extend to a distance of about 13 feet from the rear property line. <br />PROJECT REVIEW HISTORY <br />• Application submitted and determined complete: December 8, 2006. <br />• Sixty-day review deadline: February 6, 2007. <br />• Project report recommendation: January 3, 2007. <br />• Anticipated Variance Board action: January 3, 2007. <br />2.0 SUMMARY OF RECOMMENDATION: <br />2.1 The Planning Division does not support the requested VARtANCE(S) to § 1004 <br />(Residential Districts). The Planning Division could, however, support corresponding <br />variances on a smaller scale than is proposed.
