Putnam, P.E. � <br />Parking Lot Repair and Seal Coating <br />HILLSBOROUGH 1 <br />2353 Rice Street <br />For <br />CAVE 8� ASSOCIATES, LTD. <br />.r. <br />��o,b ►�� I <br />VIA <br />REMARKS: FOR YOUR REVIEW AND COMMENTS <br />Enclosures: <br />Two sets of 24x36 copies and <br />One set of 11x17 copies of: Boundary and Topography Survey <br />Sheets 1 through 3 <br />We have been retained by Craig Ankrum, Cave & Associates, Ltd., for the design of parking lot <br />improvements at an office site owned by them called Hillsborough 1 located at 2353 Rice Street. <br />At this time, we are proposing to have the parking lot seal coated using asphalt cement and aggregate to <br />restore the pavement surface and to achieve a more aesthetic uniform appearance. Before undertaking <br />the seal coating, there are driveway improvements and pavement repairs that are proposed. <br />The entrance to Grandview Avenue is approximately 18 feet wide and is too narrow to function safely. <br />We are proposing to widen this driveway to 26 feet wide. Additionally, we are recommending the <br />construction of a second 26 foot wide entrance to connect to Woodbridge Street at the northwest comer <br />of the parking lot. <br />There are three areas of the parking lot where the pavement is distressed and these will be removed and <br />replaced prior to seal coating. With a minor reconfiguration, parking stall numbers are increased from the <br />current layout. <br />At this time, we are submitting the above stated information requesting that City Staff review these and <br />advise us as to pertinent reviews, schedules, and permits. <br />Thank you in advance for your expeditious response. <br />cc: Craig Ankrum - transmittal, one set of 24x36 & one set of 11x17 <br />
