intersection. This road widening design should be submitted with the first development plan. This will ensure that <br />when the assumed background improvements are implemented for the Lydia/ Snelling intersection the City will have <br />adequate right- of- way. <br />Northwestem shall participate in the cost of the future inte�section improvement project when it occurs. The cost <br />participation shall be proportionate to the amount of traffic that is added to the public system as a result of the campus <br />expansion. The proportion will be based on new traffic added to the public system in relationship to existing and <br />background traffic. <br />Northwestern shall participate in the cost of a Snelling/ County Road C-2 intersection improvement project when it <br />occurs. The cost participation shall be proportionate to the amount of traffic that is added to the public system as a <br />result of the campus expansion. The proportion will be based on new traffic added to the public system in relationship <br />to existing and background traffic. <br />A formal Travel Demand Management Plan (TDM), including trip reduction strategies, a schedule for implementation, <br />and procedures for evaluation and revisions shall be approved by the City Engineer prior to the issuance of each <br />stage of the development a building permit. These strategies should be evaluated to determine reductions in the <br />forecasted tra�c.
