Attached is the most recent version, both supported by the
Roseville Planning Commission and reviewed (modifications added) by the City
Attorney (Jay Squires).
On February 7 and March 7, 2007 the Roseville Planning Commission conducted Public
Hearings to consider reaffirming previous modifications to Roseville's Sign Regulations
(§1009 Sign Regularions). The purpose of the reaffirmation was to allow the newly seated
Commission an opportunity to review and comment on the proposed amendment, as well
as well as revisit the document due to the lapse of time from the Commission's original
hearings and recommendation of support (May 2006).
Based on the discussion at those Public Hearings, the Planning Commission adopted a
motion at its March 7, 2007 to affirm its support of making modifications to the Sign
Regulations.
22 The purpose of the suggested modifications is to clear up regulations that have proved to
23 be inadequate or confusing and to respond to changes in the sign industry. Additionally,
24 "new" language is proposed to create an internal (administrative) system for reviewing
25 and approving specific signage throughout Roseville utilizing the Development Review
26 Committee and a Master Sign Plan process.
27 A"redlined" version of the Sign Regulations is attached for your review and discussion.
28 This item is anticipated to be placed on the Council's Apri123 docket for approval.
. . .. _ .:_. ., - .
. :V .. . ,.
