� 13 July 2007 David Krason 1849 EldridgeAvenue Roseville, MN 55113 �� �� RE: Front Yard Setback Permit approval Dear Mr. Krason, On Thursday, July 12th, the Roseville Development Review Committee reviewed and recommended approval of a FRONT YARD SETBACK PERMIT to construct your proposed portico that will encroach into the required front yard setback. The Setback Permit Review Committee (SPRC) found that the proposal does satisfy more than eight of the twelve applicable criteria for approving a Setback Permit as listed in Section 1013.05 of the City Code. The SPRC therefore recommended approval of the Setback Permit, with the following conditions: 1. that the portico be constructed of materials that are consistent with and/or complimentary to the existing or intended exterior materials of the rest of the principal structure; 2. that the approval apply only to the portico as proposed in the plans reviewed as part of the Setback Permit application and not be construed to approve general expansion of the principal structure; 3. that any future plans to enclose the space described by the portico must be reviewed and approved through a new Setback Permit process; and 4. that the approval will expire 6 months from today's date if the building permits have not been obtained by that time. I concur with the recommendations of the DRC and I will issue the requested Setback Permit with the above conditions. The appeal period will remain open until noon on July 23, 2007, at which time the building permit may be issued pursuant to approval of the building plans by the Building Official.
