- This should only be allowed during months without freezing weather. From May lst
through October lst.
- A$1,000.00 deposit should be required to verify the RV will not be occupied after
October lst (which will be a typical problem staff will have to contend with). Failure to
vacate would result in forfeiture of the deposit.
- The Resident should be required to allow monthly inspections of the RV as long as
it remains on site while the home is under construction (especially past the October lst
deadline) as a way of guaranteeing compliance and limiting staff time commitments.
- There should be a limit of two resident adults (no renters/workers) and no
children (due to on-site dangers).
- Address numbers should be required on the RV for easy identification by emergency
personnel.
- The RV must be used and set-up in a way that is in compliance with the
manufacturers recommendations.
In conclusion, Building Division staff are strongly opposed to this practice. It is not a
safe practice, it is detrimental to the neighborhood and will result in additional
nuisance complaint calls as well as additional burdens on an already busy staff.
Thank you,
Don Munson, Building Official
,,, Z ^
