There are currently two-city sewer easements that run directly across (from west to east on <br />the south side of the lot), and the other runs diagonally across (from left-to-right beginning on the south side to <br />the northeast corner of the lot) that would not allow us sufficient space to place the pool in a way that would <br />allow compliance with City Code. <br />#8) ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: <br />A) WRITTEN NARRATIVE: <br />We wish to place an 18-foot round-above ground pool, and build a wrap-around deck, on the southeast <br />corner section of our lot. There are currently two-city sewer easements that run directly across (from west to <br />east on the south side of the lot), and the other runs diagonally across (from left-to-right beginning on the south <br />side to the northeast corner of the lot) that would not allow us sufficient space to place the pool in a way that <br />would allow compliance with City Code. <br />Roseville City Code, Chapter 905.03: Conditions, A., does not allow a pool to be placed closer than ten- <br />feet to side or rear lot lines. Due to the location of the easements on the lot, and in order to comply with City <br />Code, this provides an odd shaped rectangle space with the following dimensions: 18-ft. x 21-ft. x 12-ft. x 22- <br />ft.. These dimensions do not allow sufficient space for the placement of a round 18-foot in this section of the <br />lot. The placements of the sewer easements were located on the lot prior to the building of our home on the lot <br />in December 1999. The placement of the sewer easements were beyond our control and due through no fault of <br />our own. <br />Based upon the circumstances involving the sewer easements, and compliance with City Code, we wish <br />to request a variance to place the round 18-foot pool, and build the wrap-around deck, closer than 10-feet to the <br />side and rear lot lines. Ideal placement for the pool would be within three to five feet of both the side and rear <br />lot lines. <br />For your convenience we've attached a lot outline from the Roseville Engineering Dept. of the lot <br />dimensions (which also outlines the allowable space on the lot for the pool), a picture of the pool with wrap- <br />around deck, and lot graphic to illustrate. <br />Please accept this as our fortnal request for a variance for placement of a pool on our lot.
