• Draft Resolution • Attachment F EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE VARIANCE BOARD OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the Variance Board of the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was held on the 6t" day of June, 2007, at 5:30 p.m. The following members were present: Variance Board Member introduced the following resolution and moved its denial/adoption: VB RESOLUTION NO. 60 A RESOLUTION APPROVING VARIANCES TO §1012 (GENERAL REQUIREMENTS) OF THE ROSEVILLE CITY CODE FOR RONALD AND SUSAN HORNBAKER, 2994 ALDINE STREET (PF07-025) WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Hornbaker have requested VARIANCES to � 1012 (General Requirements); and WHEREAS, this property is addressed as 2994 Aldine Street, and legally described as: FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS PLAT 3, LOT 12 BLOCK 6 PIN: 04-29-23-14-0016 WHEREAS, Section 1012.02B(3) (Side Yard Encroachments) allows fences up to 6.5 feet in height in the side and rear yards on residential lots; and WHEREAS, Section 1012.02B(2) (Front Yard Encroachments) allows fences up to 4 feet in height in the front yard on residential lots; and WHEREAS, the Hornbakers seek to install an 8-foot-tall fence along their side property line, extending into the front yard; this requires a 4-foot height variance for the section of fence extending west of the westernmost building line of the principal structure and a 1.5-foot height variance for the remainder of the fence; and WHEREAS, the Planning Division has concluded that "hardships" are present and support can be given to deviate from the strict requirements of the Roseville City Code; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Roseville Variance Board, to APPROVE a 4-foot VARIANCE to Section 1012.02B(2), and a 1.5-foot VARIANCE to Section 1012.02B(3) of the City code, subject to the following conditions: Page 1 ofi 3
