''1 25 May 2007 Carl Herbrandson 1795 Roselawn Avenue Roseville, MN 55113 1�'�� �� RE: Side Yard Setback Permit approval Dear Mr. Herbrandson, � On Thursday, May 24th, the Roseville Development Review Committee reviewed and recommended approval of a SIDE YARD SETBACK PERMIT to construct your proposed garage addition that will encroach up to 3 feet into the required side yard setback. Comments Re�ardin� Issues at Hand: As you know, your neighbors to the east wrote a letter to Community Development staff to support the approval of the requested setback permit. Development Review Committee Recommendation: The Setback Permit Review Committee found that the proposal does satisfy more than eight of the twelve applicable criteria for approving a Setback Permit as listed in Section 1013.05 of the City Code. The DRC therefore recommended issuance of the Setback Permit, and I concur with the recommendations of the DRC to issue the Setback Permit. Because the neighbors to the west have not expressly indicated that they would not appeal the approval of the Setback Permit, I would strongly recommend that you wait to begin construction until after the (ten-day) appeal period has expired at NOON on Monday, June 4`h. If no appeal is received, a building permit would then be issued pursuant to approval of the building plans by the Building Official. If an official appeal is properly registered, the appeal will be heard by the Variance Board at its meeting on July 1 l, 2007.
