<br />Planning Commission Regular Meeting <br />City Council Chambers, 2660 Civic Center Drive <br />Minutes - Wednesday, April 3, 2013 <br /> <br />1. Call to Order <br />1 <br />Acting Chair Gisselquist called to order the regular meeting of the Planning Commission meeting <br />2 <br />at approximately 6:30 p.m. and reviewed the role and purpose of the Planning Commission. <br />3 <br />2. Roll Call & Introduction <br />4 <br />At the request of Acting Chair Gisselquist, City Planner Thomas Paschke called the Roll. <br />5 <br />Members Present: <br /> Acting Chair John Gisselquist; and Commissioners Shannon <br />6 <br />Cunningham; Michael Boguszewski; Gerald Olsen; David Stellmach; <br />7 <br />James Daire; and Robert Murphy <br />8 <br />Staff Present: <br /> City Planner Thomas Paschke; Associate Planner Bryan Lloyd <br />9 <br />3. Organizational Business <br />10 <br />a. Swearing in of new Planning Commissioners <br />11 <br />Vice Chair Gisselquist welcomes newly-appointed Commissioners and administered the <br />12 <br />Oath of Office to Planning Commissioners: David Stellmach, James Daire, and Robert <br />13 <br />Murphy. <br />14 <br />b. Recommended Appointment of Chair and Vice Chair to Planning Commission <br />15 <br />MOTION <br />16 <br />With Member Gisselquist’s acquiescence, Member Boguszewski moved, seconded <br />17 <br />by Member Olsen to nominate Member Gisselquist as Chair of the Planning <br />18 <br />Commission for a one-year term. <br />19 <br />Ayes: 7 <br />20 <br />Nays: 0 <br />21 <br />Motion carried. <br />22 <br />MOTION <br />23 <br />With Member Boguszewski’s acquiescence, Member Olsen moved, seconded by <br />24 <br />Member Murphy to nominate Member Boguszewski as Vice Chair of the Planning <br />25 <br />Commission for a one-year term. <br />26 <br />Ayes: 7 <br />27 <br />Nays: 0 <br />28 <br />Motion carried. <br />29 <br />c. Appointment of Variance Board Members (3 regular members and 1 alternate) <br />30 <br />Member Boguszewski volunteered to continue to serve on the Variance Board. Member <br />31 <br />Gisselquist expressed his preference to not serve on the Variance Board this time <br />32 <br />around, allowing other members a chance to do so. Members Cunningham and Murphy <br />33 <br />volunteered to serve on the Variance Board. Member Daire volunteered to serve as an <br />34 <br />alternate on the Variance Board. <br />35 <br />MOTION <br />36 <br />Member Gisselquist moved, seconded by Member Olsen to approve appointment <br />37 <br />of Members Boguszewski, Cunningham and Murphy to serve as the Variance <br />38 <br />Board for a one-year term; and appointment of Member Daire to serve as the <br />39 <br />Alternate for a one-year term. <br />40 <br />Ayes: 7 <br />41 <br />Nays: 0 <br />42 <br />Motion carried. <br />43 <br /> <br />
