uay l, zoo
Citv of Roseville
Community Development Department
2660 City Center Drive
RoseviIle, NIN 55113
RE: Interim Use Pernzit Application
Robert & Linda DeLeo
280 Minnesota Avenue
Roseville, MN 5113
Attachment D
We, Robert A. and Linda J. DeLeo, owners if the'/2 acre parcel at 280 Minnesota Avenue, will
be demolishing the house located on this parcei and will begin construction of a new home by
mid June 2007. We request the approval to use our 29 foot fully self-contained motor home as a
temporary residence for a period of approximately 6 months during the construction of the new
home.
The motor home will be parked in front of the new detached three-stall garage/workshop that
was constructed in 2006. The motor home will be set back 110 feet from Minnesota Avenue, and
25 feet from the west property line. It will be located well behind the front of our neighbors'
homes. We have been in contact with our neighbors since the inception of this project and they
have expressed support for our plans.
The new garage/workshop has complete utility services. It is connected to the sanitary sewer
system, has city water, 150 amp electric service, and Qwest telephone service. These services
will be available to the motor home. Also, the motor home is a self-contained unit with heat/air
conditioning, freezer/refrigerator, stove, microwave, bathroom, shower, beds, fresh water intake,
holding tanks etc.
We are a couple in our early sixties with a small dog and no relative in the area. It will be ven
difficult and extremely inconvenient to find suitable accommodations if we need to vacate the
property. Also, since we are the general contractor for the construction, it is necessary for us to
be at the site nearly all the time. Fortunately I(Robert) work in Roseville and am able to come to
the jobsite as necessary during the day to work with subcontractors and oversee the project. In
the evening both of us will be working on the areas of the project that we will be doing
ourselves. Furthermore, the new garage/workshop currently contains over $100,000.00 of our
personal property that we do not wish to leave unattended overnight or for long periods.
Sincerely,
Robert & Linda DeLeo
•
CJ
