In other words, will our application for amendment of the CUP for the pet supply store take care of the need for CUP review of the pet boarding? After review with the City Attorney it was decided that we would not send out a letter, but instead provide you with a draft report in advance of its submittal to the Commission. I will be working on this report next Monday and hope to finalize the beginning of the week of the 26th. What I can tell you is that pet boarding would be considered an accessory use to a pet and pet supply store and require a conditional use permit. Further the City would amend the definition of a kennel to exclude pet boarding as an accessory use to pet and pet supply stores. We are currently discussing number limits and other possible language changes, such as defining pet boarding and a clarifying/defining pet and pet supply store.
