-
b. Written Nanative:.

Currently, our house's front living room is approximately 11' x 15'. The main front door entryway
and coat closet are part of the living room. The living room also serves as the only walk way
fhrough to the bedrooms. rhis room barely functions as a living room.
The walkway to the bedrooms takes up 33 sq. feet (3' x 11'). The door opening, closet opening,
and entryway which would include a rug and place to put shoes and boots takes up a minimal of
20 sq. ft.(4' x 5). This leaves approximately 112 square feet for a°living room". This is a
substandard size for a single family home in Roseville which sits on a large suburban lot.
We are planning to enlarge the living room making it 19' x 17' (323 square feet). We will also be
adding a separate entrance / foyer area that will be 9' x 5' (45 square feef) resulting in adequate
sized rooms.
We have explored my other possible revisions and have determined that there is no other way to
solve this problem except to extend the house towards the street.
