Draft Resolution <br />Attachment �' <br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br />VARIANCE BOARD OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the Variance Board of the <br />City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was held on the 5`h day of March 2008 <br />at 5:00 p.m. <br />The following members were present: <br />Variance Board Member introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br />VB RESOLUTION NO. 78 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A VARIANCE TO §1004 (RESIDENCE <br />DISTRICTS) OF THE ROSEVILLE CITY CODE FOR JAMES JOHNSON, 2271 <br />MARION STREET (PF08-007) <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Johnson has requested a VARIANCE to § 1004 (Residence <br />Districts) of the Roseville City Code; and <br />WHEREAS, this property is addressed as 2271 Marion Street, and legally <br />described as: <br />CAPITOL VIEW HILLS NO. 2 LOT 2 BLOCK 1 <br />PIN: 12-29-23-44-0019 <br />WHEREAS, Section 1004.016 (Residence Setbacks) requires minimum principal <br />structure setback of 30 feet for a property line adjacent to a street right-of-way; and <br />WHEREAS, the Mr. Johnson seeks to expand the principal structure such that it <br />would encroach 9 feet into the required side yard setback; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Division has concluded that "hardships" are present <br />and support can be given to deviate from the strict requirements of the Roseville City <br />Code; <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Roseville Variance Board, to <br />APPROVE a 9-foot VARIANCE to Section 1004A16 of the City code, subject to the <br />following conditions: <br />The size and location of the proposed addition shall be consistent with the <br />plans reviewed with this application and shall not be less than 18 feet from the <br />northern side property line; <br />2.
