City Attorney Anderson advised that the applicant didn't have to make a decision at <br />tonighYs meeting; but that the City Council could table action to allow the applicant further <br />time to review their options with staff. <br />Mr. Lloyd sought clarification from the City Council as to their preferred alternative. <br />Councilmember Ihlan opined her support of a PUD amendment. <br />Mayor Klausing opined his support of a zoning text amendment. <br />Councilmember Roe opined his support of a PUD amendment, expressing concern in making <br />a zoning text amendment related to this project without discussing other considerations. <br />Councilmember Pust expressed no preference; and deferred to staff's recommendation. <br />Councilmember Ihlan noted that there were neighbors present, who may wish to provide <br />additional comment. <br />Mayor Klausing advised that the public would be given another opportunity to speak, <br />following further consideration by the applicant and staff on their best option. <br />Public Comment <br />Patrick Schmidt, 1140 Autumn Street <br />Mr. Schmidt presented written comments, dated January 14, 2008, from FAST (Foes of <br />Autumn Street Treffic); attached hereto and made a part thereof; and verbally summarized <br />those comments. Mr. Schmidt commended staff to enforcement of the parking situation <br />along Autumn Street; and spoke in support of the proposed use, but not the rezoning that <br />may promote future uses that are not in the interest of the neighborhood. <br />Mr. Schmidt advised that, following tonighYs discussion of Councilmembers, he would <br />consult with the neighbors to determine their preferences. <br />Klausing moved, Kough seconded, to TABLE consideration of this application, to allow the <br />applicant time to work with staff for options to allow this specific use without broader <br />impacts to the community. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Pust; Roe; Kough; Ihlan; and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br />,-. --. <br />
