<br />Sectfon 1.
<br />Section 903.110 is hereby deleted in its
<br />entirety.
<br />Section 2.
<br />Section 903.110 is hereby amended
<br />per Ordinance No. 637 on file with the
<br />City Clerk, a summary of which tollows:
<br />Section 903.110.A. adds to the
<br />Purpose Statement for Sign
<br />Regulations.
<br />Section 903.110.B.1.d. does not
<br />require the removal of political campaign
<br />signs.
<br />Section 903.110.B.t.e. revises
<br />regulations relating to Holiday Displays.
<br />Section 903.110.B.1.g. revises purpose
<br />and findings for Real Estate Sale and
<br />Rental Signs.
<br />Section 903.110.B.1.g.(3) provides for
<br />the prohibition ot lighting certain Real
<br />Estate Signs.
<br />Section 903.110.B.1.h.(2) is deleted
<br />relative to off-premises signs.
<br />Section 903.110.B.1.i. deletes
<br />references to otf-site garage sale signs.
<br />Section 903.110.C.3. provides for the
<br />regulations and licensing of Dynamic or
<br />Electronic Signs. Section 902.010.A. 169. is hereby and publication. 1. Review the Staff Report
<br />Section 903.110.C.4.a.(3) is deleted deleted. AYES: 4 (available 3/28/2008) at:
<br />relative to the exemption from the
<br />ordinance of ceAain govemment and
<br />community based organizations.
<br />Section 903.110.C.S.a.(4) provides for
<br />a limitation on the display of temporary
<br />signs.
<br />Section 903.110.C.S.e. provides for

<br />This Ordinance shall take effect and be
<br />in full force from and after its passage

<br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING
<br />CHAPTER 902 OF THE LITTLE
<br />CANADA CITY CODE, KNOWN AS
<br />THE ZONING ORDINANCE, BY
<br />PROVIDING FOR CHANGES TO
<br />CERTAIN DEFINITIONS RELATING TO
<br />SIGNS.
<br />The City Council of the City of Little
<br />Canada hereby ordains:
<br />Section t.
<br />Section 2.
<br />Section 902.010.A.84. is hereby
<br />amended to read as follows:
<br />84. a. hardshi°• A situation where
<br />property in question cannot be put to a
<br />reasonable use under the conditions
<br />allowed by the official controls; the plight
<br />of the landowner is due to
<br />circumstances unique to his property,
<br />not created by the landowner; and the
<br />variance, if granted, will not alter the
<br />essential character of the locality.
<br />Economic considerations alone shall not
<br />constitute a hardship if a reasonable use
<br />tor the property exists under terms of the
<br />official controls.
<br />84. b. Holiday Disolav. A display of
<br />lights or messages which relate to a
<br />specific holiday period. Such displays
<br />shall not be considered to be "signs" for
<br />the purposes of this ordinance, provided
<br />that they comply with the requirements
<br />of Section 903.110.B.1.e. and other
<br />applicable provisions.
<br />Sectlon 3.
<br />Section 902.010.A. is hereby amended
<br />to add the following:
<br />169. a. $jgn — Dynamic. A sign which,
<br />through movement, whether
<br />mechanical, electronic, or otherwise,
<br />creates an impression of a changing
<br />message to the viewer.
<br />169. b. $jyn — Electronic. A sign in
<br />which the message, whether teut or
<br />graphics,is generated through the use
<br />of electronic lights or clusters of lights.
<br />Electronic Signs shall not be construed
<br />to include signs in which the message is
<br />only illuminated by electric lighting.
<br />Seetion 4.
<br />This Ordinance shall take ettect and be
<br />in full force from and afler its passage
