Bryan Lloyd
From: Margaret Driscoll
Sent: Monday, April 21, 2008 9:08 AM
To: Bryan Lloyd
Subject: FW: Pawn Shop/Knight City Council Vote - April 21, 2008
From: Kelly Knight
Sent: Thursday, Apr
To: *RVCouncil; Craig Klausing
Subject: Pawn Shop/Knight City Council Vote - April 21, 2008
I am writing to ask that the City Council vote "no" on April 21, 2008 regarding allowing a
pawn shop to move into the former "Mattress Liquidators" site.
My husband and I have experienced first hand how opportunistic crime rises during an
economic downturn. After someone tried to gain entrance to our home, we were forced to
put in a security system. I am concerned that having a pawn shop so close would not only
decrease our property values but make it even easier for opportunistic criminals to get
rid of items.
If the Council feels that a pawn shop is a vital part to the future of Roseville, I would
suggest that it be relocated to a business or warehouse area that does not border
residential properties.
Sincerely,
Ke11y Knight
2071 Midlothian Road
Roseville, MN 55113
14
. ..
