On Thursday July 31, the Setback Permit Review Committee (SPRC) reviewed and recommended approval of a SIDE YARD SETBACK PERMIT to accommodate the proposed addition that will encroach up to 5.5 feet into the required side yard setback. The SPRC found that the proposa] does satisfy more than eight of the applicable criteria for approving a Setback Permit as listed in Section 1013.05 of the City Code, and consequently recommended approval of the Setback Permit, with the following conditions: l. gutters shall be installed to direct rain water runoff toward the north where feasible; 2. the western side property line shall be located and verified by the building inspector by visual inspection prior to issuance of the necessary building permit; and 3. the Setback Permit approval shall expire 6 months from today's date if the building permit has not been obtained by that time. I concur with the recommendation of the SPRC and I will issue the requested Setback Permit with the above conditions. Your neighbors at 451 Centennial Drive and 451 Terrace Drive have indicated their support for the Setback Permit; unless we also hear from the property owners at 435, 436, 443, & 452 Centennial Drive and 435 & 443 Terrace Drive, the mandatory appeal period will remain open until noon on August 11, 2008, at which time the building permit may be issued pursuant to approval of the building plans by the Building Official.
