-� <br />Draft Resolution Attachment F <br />�' EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br />VARIANCE BOARD OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the Variance Board of the City of <br />Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was held on the ls' day of October, 2008, at 5:30 p.m. <br />The following members were present: <br />Variance Board Member introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br />VB RESOLUTION NO. 83 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A VARIANCE TO §1012 (GENERAL <br />REQUIREMENTS) OF THE ROSEVILLE CITY CODE FOR JOAN LASSER, 3012 OLD <br />HIGHWAY 8 (PF08-040) <br />WHEREAS, Mrs. Lasser owns the subject property and has requested a vAR�ANCE to <br />§ 1012 (General Requirements); and <br />WHEREAS, this property is addressed as 3012 Old Highway 8, and is legally described <br />as: <br />SECTION 5 TOWN 29 RANGE 23 SUBJ TO STH 8/63 AND WITH BENEFITS AND <br />BURDENS OF ESMTS OF RECORD THE NELY 75 FT OF SWLY 2116 FT MEASURED <br />ON CL OF SD STH FROM S L OF NW 1/4 OF NWLY 290 4/10 FT OF PART OF NW 1/4 <br />SELY OF SD CL IN SEC 5 TN 29 RN 23 <br />PIN: OS-29-23-21-0072 <br />WHEREAS, Section 1012.02B(2) (Legal Encroachments) allows fences up to 4 feet in <br />height in the front yard of a residential lot; and <br />WHEREAS, Mrs. Lasser seeks to install a 6.5-foot-tall fence along the northeastern side <br />property line to screen the parking area and trash container on the adjacent apartment property, <br />requiring a 2.5-foot height variance; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Division has concluded that "hardships" are present and <br />support can be given to deviate from the strict requirements of the Roseville City Code; <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Roseville Variance Board, to <br />APPROVE a 2.5-foot VARIANCE to Section 1012.02B(2) of the City code, subject to the <br />following conditions: <br />The fence screening the adjacent aparhnent shall not exceed 6.5 feet in height; <br />2.
