� <br />^ <br />Regular City Council Minutes — 4/28/03 <br />Page 14 <br />0 <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Klausing, Maschka, Schroeder, Kough and <br />Kysylyczyn. <br />Nays: None. <br />In a related note, Councilmember Maschka <br />addressed the number of seniors being added to the <br />community, with recent approval of this project and <br />the Hamline and Arona sites, and questioned <br />rationale in how such action related to increasing <br />availability of housing for younger families to <br />increase the city's tax base and school-age children. <br />Community Development Director Welsch <br />concurred with Councilmember Maschka's <br />observations, opining that a discussion needed to be <br />held soon on where the city achieves a balance <br />regarding the City's demographic profile. <br />D. Brian Bean's Request for a Varia�ce, 1760 <br />Dunlap (PF 3459) <br />(8.1) Schroeder moved, Kough seconded, adoption <br />of Resolution No. 10090 entitled, "A Resolution <br />Approving a 16 foot Variance to Section 1004.01 E <br />(Exception) of the Roseville City Code for Property <br />Located at 1760 Dunlap Street (PF 3459)." <br />Councilmembers Maschka and Klausing commented <br />respectively on internal schematics and the exterior <br />architectural style and amenities to lessen the visual <br />impact. <br />Councilmember Kough expressed concern in the <br />deviation from the City's standard setback <br />requirements; and the difficulty of making a <br />determination on this case due to the differing views <br />of the applicant and their neighbor. <br />Community Development Director Dennis Welsch <br />provided a historical perspective on homes in south <br />Resolution 10090 <br />Resolution 10091 <br />Bean Variance <br />1760 Dunlap <br />(PF 3459) <br />
