He cited aesthetic, traffic and <br />neighborhood support for that site plan. <br />Kysylyczyn spoke in favar of the motion, citing traffic <br />safety, parking, neighborhood opinion, a smaller <br />footprint, and the developer's preference. <br />Schroeder spoke in favor of the motion, citing parking <br />issues and building appearance. <br />■ Judith Florine, resident, spoke against relaxing <br />City requirements for planned unit developments. <br />She favored dense vee�tati,on screening along <br />Lexington and Roselawn if the Council adopts the <br />motion on the floor. <br />■ Al Sands, resident, spoke in favor of allowing <br />room for widening of Lexington Avenue, and <br />stated the project was too intense for e site. <br />Maschka spoke in favor of the Planning Commission <br />recommendation and against the motion. <br />Kysylyczyn spoke in favor of the motion. <br />Klausing asked why the Counci] is rejecting the Planning <br />Commission's unanimous recommendations. <br />Kough asked if the project would go forward if the three <br />story building to be constructed under the pending <br />motion were reduced to two stories. Cronin responded <br />that if the building is pulled back from the corner it must <br />be three stories tali but that it was slightly smaller in <br />square footage. Cronin indicated he supports the site <br />plan which is to be approved under Kysylyczyn's <br />pending motion. <br />■ Dick Lambert, resident, spoke in favor of listening <br />to adjacent property owners. <br />■ Marlene Struwe, resident, indicated the Cowicil <br />may be proceeding too quickly. <br />Maschka spoke against the motion and in favor of the <br />
