Consider a Contract or Contracts with Architects for Architect Contract(s) <br />the City's Police and Public Works Projects Police/Public Works <br />Beets overviewed. Facility Projects <br />Schroeder moved, Kysylyczyn seconded, to authorize the <br />City to enter into a not-to-exceed $42,500 contract with <br />Ankeny Kell Architects as the lead architectural firm to <br />do preliminary programming, design, and cost estimation <br />on our Police and Public Works projects as necessary to <br />develop functional architectural designs and sound cost <br />estimates for a possible bond election on November 5, <br />2002. <br />Schroeder commented on the design and cost estimating <br />process. <br />Maschka asked for the basis for staff's recommendation. <br />Kough indicated concerns about cost. <br />Klausing asked about doing some community center <br />work as part of this contract. <br />Kysylyczyn opposed Klausing's suggestion and spoke in <br />favor of the motion on the floor. <br />Roll Call, Ayes: Schroeder, Kough and Kysylyczyn. <br />Nays: Klausing and Maschka. <br />VI.
