My name is Joe McKenzie and I live
at 2599 Herschel Street, directly south of the property that is requesting the devation.
Where as I don't have any issue in principal to allowing the deviation for the garage
expansion, I am concerned of granting this request with significant work needed to the
rest of the current structures and property. The home owners have replaced the siding on
the front of the house, but have yet to complete the back of the house, the current garage
has no siding on it at all, the facia on the south side of the house is loose (and has
been for some time) and the back yard has been without grass (sod or seed) or some form of
landscaping for over a year. As someone considering putting my property on the market,
these deficencies of neighboring properties directly affect my
property value and marketablity as well as reflect poorly on our community.
In conclusion, I would support the deviation request if it is also a requirement that the
other issues are addressed before or in conjunction with the garage construction. If that
is not included as part of the deviation approval, then I cannot support it at this time.
I would be happy to answer any questions or expand on my comments
give me a call at 763.442.1894.
Sincerely,
Joe McKenzie
2599 Herschel Street
Please feel free to
