, The end result is a garage will be about 4 feet further f the front property line
than what was shown on the site plan. While the front of the garage addition will extend
slightly beyond the existing front of the house, the frontward expansion is within what is
permitted by the Code and we're hopeful that it comes close to meeting your needs as well.
Regards,
Bryan Lloyd
Associate City Planner
City of Roseville
651-792-7073
bryan.11oyd@ci.roseville.mn.us
-----Original Message-----
From: jdelholm@comcast.net [mailto:jdelholm(lcomcast.net]
Sent: Wednesday, January 06, 2010 6:19 PM
To: Bryan Lloyd
Subject: Re: Property at 2458 Chatsworth Street
Mr. Lloyd -
Thank you very much for providing me with additional information. It's very helpful. The
map you provided accurately reflects my thoughts on what the areas of question are.
I will likely not be at the meeting, as I need to be in St. Paul at a meeting by 4:00. If I
do make it, I probably won't be able to stay long.
If I do miss the meeting, these are my thoughts:
1) I am ok with the setback deviation that has been proposed on the north side of his
property.
2) I am ok with the front of the garage being setback the same distance from the street as
the SW part of his house (I know this is outside your scope, but I thought I would mention
it anyway). This would keep his house roughly in line with all the other houses on the
block, and would preserve much of the view from my house to the SW.
3) I am not ok with the front of his garage being closer to the street than the SW part of
his house. Having the structure closer to the street would significantly limit the views
from my picture window, and it would bring the front of his house out-of-line with the other
houses on the block.
