-
The transportation network within the Village of Roseville has been fairly
deFinitely established over a number of years. This system is based primarily
on a half-mile square grid. it is anticipated that improvements to the over-
all thoroughfare system w'ril be necessary to enhance Ihe ultimate land use
devekopment of the community. It is hoped that these projects can be
impfemented prior b completion of iand use development proposals so that
the development of surrounding properfiies can proceed in an orderly Fashion
and that the transportation plan does nat merely become crn instrument of
response to pre-conditioned problems.
Basic Land Use Proposals
The Village of Raseville, as a par! of the Twin Cities Metropolitan Area and
one of the more developed inter-ring suburbs experiences certain problems
in terms of land use development that are not experienced in more remote
areas. This means that certain of the land use proposals put Frth in the plan
will of necessi#y require redevelopment of existing land uses within the
community. There are many possible methods of achieving this redevelopment,
whether ifi be through private or public financial means. `°
Far the purposes of the land use development plan, the tntal range of possible
land uses has been divided into nine major cafiegories.
