I'll just submit the permit application to the Community
Development Counter as you've suggested.
Thanks,
Matthew 0. I'm pretty sure that the Property
Improvement Permit is the right one, and that permit can be issued "over
the counter" - meaning (I think) that it doesn't require a review of the
plans by the building inspector. If you apply for a single permit for
the whole fence, I'm pretty sure that it could be issued with the caveat
that you couldn't begin on the front-yard portion until May 17th, once
the appeal period has expired.
While you could bring the permit application to the meeting, none of us
can actually issue the permit to you. I could take the application from
you and give it to the permit staff the following morning, but you'd
still have to come in to the Community Development Counter to have it
issued.
I'm pretty confident in what I've written above, but if you have more
questions about the permit, you should call 651-792-7080. Incidentally,
if you call about the permit, perhaps it's better to not mention the
part about needing/getting a variance, because that will cause you to be
transferred to me...and we know how helpful that is! 7ust ask whatever
questions you have as though you don't need a variance and, once the
Variance Board approves the variance, I'll make sure that everybody here
knows the situation so that there's no confusion when you come in for
the permit.
Bryan
Original Message-----
From: Matthew Johnson [mailto:mattjo@bolton-menk.com]
Sent: Monday, May 03, 2010 10:58 AM
To: Bryan Lloyd
