May 5. We do not feel that the proposed mitigation measures from City Staff do enough
to maintain our property values. This is primarily because our home (and adjacent residences) are built on
a hill--the elevation of which is actually HIGHER than the current 8'privacy fence--ie, my husband and I can
see right into the MIDC yard.
The most effective option is evergreen screening, which Roseville required several decades ago when it
allowed that area north of the residences to be developed. That is an increasing problem--as the trees are
dying, and leaving "holes" in what was once pretty efFective.
Please consider stopping by today or tomorrow to see the actual layout--which can't realfy e seen from
the photos or the maps in the packet sent to you for review. I'll be around most of the time in the next few
days, so just give a call to me at 651-633-2743.
I'll also be meeting with Mr. Lloyd later today regarding some of my concerns re the report/recommendtion.
My objective is, of course, to do as much as possible in advance of the meeting to work our a win-vvin
solution to what has been an ongoing problem for many years.
Thanks for your consideration of this request.
Sincerely,
Molly Redmond & Steve Ring
