Much later in the month would get dicey in terms of when we'll be
here...probably not 28-Sept10, but still in flux.
peace,
Molly & Steve
Pat Trudgeon wrote:
7ust wanted to check
1450 County Road C.
where we are headed.
in an let you know that we are making progress on the screening plan for
Steve is finishing up his recommendations but I wanted to let you know
Part of the screening plan would be to plant trees in your and your neighbor's yards (at the
location of the flags currently in the yards). These would be 5-foot to 6-foot tall trees
and would be installed this fall. This would be the first part of the plan. I am also
requiring Mr. Albrecht to put a 1-foot lattice work on the top of the existing fence to help
with the screening.
The second part of the plan would be a long-term replacement plan for the buffer area. Given
the shade the existing trees in the buffer zone, it will be extremely difficult to have new
trees survive and thrive with the existing pines. Cutting down all of the existing trees and
starting over is not a viable solution as it will make the situation worse. So the idea is to
I<eep the existing pines in place and have a plan that they are replaced once they need to
come down. Therefore, we would have a long-term replacement plan for those pines so that
trees will always serve as a buffer.
I think this is best solution as it puts new trees on your property "right now" to serve as
screening The new trees, the existing trees, and the lattice work will all provide for an
effective screen. As the existing pines need to be removed due to old age, disease, or
storms, they will then be replaced with new trees in the buffer zone.
2
