Here are our thoughts: 1. Overall, it looks like an excellent plan. We look forward to seeing it enacted, and maintained. Experience shows us that it will be important for the City to assure that maintenance takes place. (Recall my 6" document stack of neighborhood-history-with-the-City...) 2. Yes, we will move the 2 small balsams in the NW corner of our yard to accommodate a larger tree. Therefore, we'd like at least 2 weeks notice before the planting week. 3. Please note: on the map provided, the text reads "Mature pines to be replaced " etc. However, there are also spruce in there... Please include them in the directive re replacement... (we take nothing for granted...) 4. We assume that Gopher State (or whateverthe service is that marks undergro nd lines before planting) will be notified to mark safe areas before actual planting takes place. (� ��j�L �}� But--who is in charge of requesting that service? Mr Albrecht or �'esidence owne s? 5. The points re buffer maintenance note the possibility of herbicides being used to keep the area clear. a. If it would avoid use of herbicides, we can assist if necessary in keeping the area clear. We have fruit and vegetable gardens toward the north end of our lot. b. If herbicides might compromise either the mature trees or young trees to be planted, we request that they not be used. c. If herbicides are to be used, we would like to have notification in advance, so we can take precautions with our dog, etc and avoid exposure. Have you heard from Eric or Rachel at 1447 regarding their thoughts on the plan? If not, what does their lack of response do to the proposal? Thanks for your work on this.
