7. We are proposing the end unit of the building, 2459 Rice Street, to be used for an <br />Adult Day Care Center. <br />8. A. The end unit of the building, which is located at 2459 Rice Street, was previously <br />occupied by a commercial business. Our intent for the space is to remodel it and use it as <br />an Adult Day Care Center. It is intended that the remodeling will be internal only and <br />will not affect the external structure of the building. The center will likely be in <br />operation between the hours of 6:OOam and 7:OOpm Monday through Friday. The <br />individuals that will be served in this facility may be there for only a few hours during the <br />day or up to all day long. They will likely be either transported by a loved one, or <br />receive transportation from the provider itsel£ It is unlikely that they will transport <br />themselves. Therefore, the parking needs should not exceed what is already provided on <br />the premises and are not expected to interfere with any other businesses currently located <br />in the building. The Adult Day Care Center will be owned and managed by ACR Homes, <br />Inc. and its staf£ ACR Homes, Inc. and its affiliated businesses own and occupy a <br />majority of the building. The Adult Day Care Center will provide services to elderly <br />individuals over the age of 55. These services will consist of scheduled activities on and <br />off site, personal hygiene, nutrition consultation, medical assistance, and social <br />integration. ACR intends to contract with Paninos Restaurant and other local food <br />businesses to cater in meals to service the individuals while in the Day Care Center. The <br />individuals that participate in the Adult Day Care Center will also be accessing the park <br />systems in the area and utilizing local businesses. <br />B. Not Applicable <br />
