--. <br />City of Shoreview Municipal Code Chapter 200. Development Regulations <br />(C) Exterior of DwellinQ Units. All exterior of structures in the City shall comply <br />with the following requirements. <br />(1) Foundations, walls and roofs. Every foundation, exterior wall, roof and all <br />other exterior surfaces shall be maintained in a workmanlike state of <br />maintenance and repair: <br />(a) The foundation elements shall adequately support the building at all <br />points. <br />(b) Every exterior wall shall be free of holes, breaks, loose or rotting <br />boards or timbers, falling or loose stucco or brick, substantial amounts <br />of peeling paint and any conditions which might admit moisture to the <br />interior portions of the walls or to the interior spaces of the dwelling. <br />(c) Roofs shall be tight and have no defects which admit water. Roof <br />drainage shall be adequate to prevent water from causing dampness in <br />the walls. Roof materials shall be matching. <br />(2) Stairs, porches, decks and railin�s. <br />(a) Every outside stair, porch, deck, railings and appurtenance attached <br />� thereto shall be maintained as to be safe in use and capable of <br />supporting a load as determined in the Building Code and shall be kept <br />in sound condition and good repair. <br />�--. <br />(b) Every flight of stairs which is more than four (4) risers high shall have <br />hand rails which are to be so located as determined by the Building <br />Code; and every porch and deck which is more than eighteen (18) <br />inches above grade shall be capable of restraining a horizontal <br />pressure, as determined by the provisions of the Building Code. <br />(c) All stairs, porches, decks, railings and appurtenance attached thereto <br />shall be free of holes, breaks, loose or rotting boards or timbers, falling <br />or loose stucco or brick, substantial amount of peeling paint and any <br />conditions which might admit moisture to the interior portions of any <br />structure and free of conditions that show lack of maintenance. <br />(3) Windows, doors and hatchwavs. Every window, exterior door and <br />hatchway shall be substantially tight and shall be kept in sound condition <br />and repair. <br />(a) Every window shall be fully supplied with window panes which are <br />without open cracks or holes. <br />Section 211.
