� <br />City of Shoreview Municipal Code Chapter 200. Development Regulations <br />(b) Every window sash shall be in good condition and fit reasonably tight <br />within its frame. Windows designed to be opened and closed shall be <br />capable of being held in a open or closed position by window <br />hardware. <br />(c) Every exterior door, door hinges or door latch shall be in good <br />condition. <br />(d) Every exterior door, when closed, shall fit reasonably well within its <br />frame. <br />(e) Every window, door and frame shall be maintained in relation to the <br />adjacent wall constructions, as to exclude rain, and substantially to <br />exclude wind from entering the dwelling. <br />( fl Every hatchway shall be so maintained as to prevent the entrance of <br />rodents, rain and surface drainage water into the dwelling. <br />(g) Every door available as an exit in a dwelling shall be capable of being <br />easily opened from the inside. <br />(D) Interior Areas of Dwellin Units. The interior of all dwelling units in the City <br />---� <br />shall comply with the following standards: <br />� <br />(1) Interior walls, floors, ceiling and woodwork. All interior walls, floors, <br />ceilings and associated woodwork or trim must be maintained in a sound <br />condition and in workmanlike repair. <br />(2) Plumbing systems. All plumbing systems shall be maintained in good <br />working order, and must be kept free from obstructions, leaks and defects. <br />(3) Connected to water and sewer system. Every kitchen sink, lavatory basin, <br />bathtub, or shower and water closet required under the provisions of this <br />division shall be properly connected to either a public water and sewer <br />system or to an approved private water and sewer system and shall be <br />supplied with hot and cold running water. <br />(4) Heating facilities. Every dwelling and multiple dwelling shall have <br />heating facilities and the owner of said heating facilities shall be required <br />to see that said heating facilities are safety maintained and in good <br />working condition, and that said facilities be capable of safely and <br />adequately heating all habitable rooms, bathrooms and toilet rooms <br />located therein. The heating facilities shall be capable of maintaining a <br />minimum room temperature of seventy (70) degrees Fahrenheit (twenty- <br />one (21) degrees Celsius) at three (3) feet above the floor in all habitable <br />rooms including bathrooms and under all weather conditions. <br />Section 211.
