� <br />Fridley City Code Chapter 220 Section 220.06.8. <br />The following words, terms, and phrases and their derivatives shall be construed as defined in <br />this section; words used in the singular include the plural and the singular; words used in the <br />masculine gender include the feminine and vice versa. <br />1. Accessory Building or Use. <br />A subordinate building or use which is located on the same lot as principal building or use and is <br />necessary or incidental to the conduct of the principal building or use. <br />2. Approved. <br />Approved as to construction, installation, and maintenance in accordance with all applicable <br />codes and state statutes. <br />3. Basement. <br />That portion of a building between floor and ceiling which is partly below grade, but so located <br />that the vertical distance from grade to floor below is more than the vertical distance from grade <br />to ceiling. <br />4. Bedroom. <br />,.., A habitable room within a dwelling unit which is used, or intended to be used, primarily for the <br />purpose of sleeping, but shall not include any kitchen or dining area. <br />� Building. <br />Any structure having walls and a roof, built far the shelter or enclosure of persons, animals, or <br />property of any kind. <br />6. Clean. <br />The absence of rubbish, garbage, vermin, and other unsightly, offensive, or extraneous matter. <br />7. Compliance Official. <br />The designated authority charged with the administration and enforcement of this code, or <br />his/her duly authorized representative. <br />8. Condominiwn. <br />A multiple dwelling in which portions are designated for separate ownership and the remainder <br />of which is designated for common ownership solely by the owners of those portions. A multiple <br />dwelling is not a condominium unless the undivided interests in the common elements are vested <br />in the unit owners. <br />'-`, <br />
