Water Closet. <br />A toilet, with a bowl and trap made in one piece, which is connected to the City water and sewer <br />system or other approved water supply and sewer system. <br />62. Yard. <br />All ground, lawn, court, walk, dr►veway, or other open space constituting part of the same . <br />premises and on the same lot with a main building. <br />220.07. RESPONSIBILITY OF OWNERS <br />The owner of a dwelling or dwelling unit shall be responsible for the maintenance of that <br />structure and for meeting the provisions of this Chapter. Those responsibilities may not be <br />abrogated by a private agreement. <br />220.08. JOINT RESPONSIBILITIES OF OCCUPANTS AND OWNERS <br />1. No owner, operator, or occupant of any dwelling unit shall allow the accumulation or <br />formation of dirt, filth, refuse, or rodent harborages on the premises which he occupies or <br />controls in a manner that could create a health hazard to the dwelling occupants or the general <br />public. <br />.-. <br />2. Nuisances: No owner, operator, or occupant of any dwelling unit shall allow the formation or <br />presence of any nuisances in or about the premises he/she occupies or controls. <br />3. Conduct on licensed premises: Eveiy owner, operator, or occupant of any dwelling unit shall <br />conform to the provisions of Section 220.14 of this Chapter. <br />220.09. REMOVAL OF EQUIPMENT AND DISCONTINUANCE OF BASIC SERVICES <br />No owner, operator, or occupant shall cause any service, utility, facility, or equipment which is <br />required under this Chapter, to be removed from or shut off from any occupied dwelling or <br />dwellinb unit except for such temporary interruptions as may be necessary while actual repairs or <br />alterations are in process or during temporary emergencies. <br />220.10. MINIMUM STANDARDS FOR PRINCIPAL STRUCTURES <br />l . Minimum Exterior Standards <br />A. Foundations, exterior walls, and roofs: The fo�mdation, exterior walls, and exterior roof <br />shall be water tight, rodent proof, and shall be kept in sound condition and repair. Every <br />windo���, exterior door, and hatchway shall be substantially tight and shall be kept in <br />sound condition and repair. The foundation shall adequately support the building at all <br />points. Exterior walls shall be maintained and kept free from dilapidation by cracks, tears, <br />or breaks or from deteriorated plaster, stucco, brick, wood, or other <br />^ <br />
