EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was duly held at the City Hall on Monday, the 27th of March, 2006 at 6:00 p.m. The following members were present: and the following were absent: Council Member introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. A RESOLUTION EXTENDING THE 60-DAY REVIEW PERIOD FOR AN AMENDED CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT REQUEST FOR SPEEDWAY SUPERAMERICA, 2295 RICE STREET (PF2711) WHEREAS, an application was submitted by Speedway SuperAmerica to amend an existing CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT to allow additional signage on the fuel canopy; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held the public hearing on March 1, 2006, recommending approval of the request, subject to specific conditions; and WHEREAS, during the consideration process the Planning Commission indicated confusion over the total allowable signage far the site and in staff's calculation of the proposed fuel canopy signage; and WHEREAS, the City Planner re-calculated the allowable signage and determined that additional errors were contained in the report. Specifically, the zoning district indicated, existing signage (sign permit issued the week prior to report creation) and size of proposed signs. WHEREAS, the City Planner (in cooperation with the Community Development Director and Planning Commission Chair) has determined that it is in the best interest of the applicant and the City to extend the review an additiona160-days (from April 8 to June 8, 2006) to allow a clarified recommendation of the Planning Commission and appropriate action by the City Council. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council (the "Council") of the City of Roseville, (the "City"), Ramsey County, Minnesota, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 15.99, the time line for agency review of the application of Speedway SuperAmerica to AMEND an existing CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT to allow additional signage at 2295 Rice Street is hereby EXTENDED from April 8, 2006 to June 8, 2006. It is understood final City Council action on these issues may be taken at any time prior to the end of the extension date.
