., EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA * * * * * * * * * * * * * Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was duly held on the 12th day ofJuly1999 at 6:30 p.m. The following members were present: Mastel, Wiski, Goedeke, Wall (Maschka 8:25pm) And the following members were absent: None Council Member Goedeke introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 9668 RESOLUTION APPROVING A LIVABLE COMMUNITIES GRANT TO JOHN AND LOIS OLSON OF CRYOGENIC LABORATORIES LOCATED AT 1940-44 LEXINGTON AVENUE NORTH FOR BOULEVARD LANDSCAPING AND SIDEWALKS IN THE PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY WHEREAS. The City of Roseville received a grant from the Metropolitan Council Livable Communities Demonstration Fund in 1996, and WHEREAS, the guidelines of the grant encourage increasing pedestrian flow by installing sidewalks and additional landscaping in the public right of way, and WHEREAS, Cryogenic Laboratories located at 1940-44 Lexington Avenue North, has received approval for a Planned Unit Development to complete the renovation and addition of 8,516 SF at the site which requires additional exterior landscaping, parking lot and storm water improvements, complete new exterior facade and other additions to increase the aesthetic appeal of the business while not having a negative impact on the surrounding neighborhood, and WHEREAS, $150,000 ofthe Metropolitan Council's Livable Communities Demonstration Fund is designated for landscaping and sidewalk improvements in the public right-of-way. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Roseville City Council does hereby approve a Livable Communities Grant to John and Lois Olson of Cryogenic Laboratories located at 1940-44 Lexington Avenue in Roseville not to exceed $12,500. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the grant funds will only be distributed for those actual expenses incurred in connection with boulevard landscaping and sidewalks in the public right-of-way. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council Member Wiski and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor: Mastel, Wiski, Goedeke, Wall And the following voted against the same: None WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
