Setback Permit Explantions — 2943 Galtier St.
The following is the list of names and addresses for each contiguous properties
to 2943 Galtier St:
2934 Matilda St — Catherine A. Felix & Florence Felix
2942 Matilda St — Donald A. Yackel & Betty J. Yackel
2935 Galtier St — Sharon A. Brustuen
• _ - :,a1r-_1L._.-.e • - - - _ - -
• .ia -. r
Narrative for why this permit is needed:
The setback permit is needed due to the request to have the shed structure
closer to the property line than what is required by the code. Placing the shed
closer to the property line on the southwest corner will result in making the shed
line up with an existing shed that is on the neighbor to the wesYs property. The
neighbors to the south will not see the shed due to their current landscaping that
would hide the shed from view. The building of the shed will provide us with
additional storage so items are not within view as well as in the winter our patio
furniture can be placed inside versus the un-attractive look of having it wrapped
in a blue tarp in the winter months. The shed will also be built to look as though it
is a little house with windows and flower, which we believe will look aesthetically
pleasing to the neighborhood. The other options of a metal shed that will rust in
time or "cookie cutter" shed from the local "Home DepoY' or "Menard's" store
does not seem to bring the appeal and increase value as a nicer permanent shed
would bring. The hope of the shed is to also encourage neighbors to make their
yards more appealing by hiding unsightly items not meant for display or to
improve existing shed's that are rusty or rotting.
Answers to questions 9) A minimum of eight (8) of the twelve (12) requirements
must be met. The following are the nine (9) requirements that this setback
request meets:
a) One c:ar garage cr less is located on the site.
