October 27, 2006
Roseville City Council
City Hall
2660 Civic Center Drive
Roseville, MN 55113
Dear Council Members:
At a previous meeting the City Council denied a request from Mr. Art
Mueller, 2201 Acorn Road), to build four homes on his property. It
is our understanding that he is going to be making another appearance
before the Counci.l wi.th a revised plan for his property.
Before the Counci.l cons3ders passing on this revi.sed plan, please
take the timeto dri.ve to the corner of Acorn Road and County Road B
and see the monstrosi.ty that i.s going up on too small a lot on the
northwest corner. That should have never been allowed.
But it is a good example of how the character of an.otherwise
beautiful neighborhood can change with such over-development.
Regarding thi.s construction, is it true that this lot is one foot -
short of what is required by the rules and regulations governing home
construction in Roseville? If so, why was approval given to allow it?
Why can't thi.s section of Roseville remain as it is?_Why can't we
have more open space areas like ours in other sections of Roseville?
Why does every bit of land have to have something built on it? Is
it wrong to have park-like areas in residential areas of the City?
Please give considerati.on to the other reaidents of this area and
their feelings about such a development.
Yours truly,
  ..c
Edward B.
