City of Roseville City Council 2660 Civic Center Drive Roseville, Minnesota 55113 November 13, 2006 Subject: Planning File 3766 (Mr. Mueller's request for PLANNED UNIT Development for 2201 Acorn Road) In a meeting of the Planning Commission on September 6, 2006, Mr. Mueller had submitted c proposal for subdividing the property at 2201 Acorn Rend. We had previously consented to Option A of the Grnding Plan submitted, with drainnge to the east for rainwater flow (and other flows) into the pond ncross 2201 Acorn Road, which is a part of our property at 2182 Acorn Road . Mr. Mueller's modest proposnl for property subdivision had n privnte road, which wus the bnsis for the written consent that we gnve to Mr. Mueller. In the subsequent meeting of the Plnnning Commission on November 1, 2006, much to our surprise, a revised request incorporating a public road in 2201 Acorn Road wns presented. At the meeting, 5. R. verbnlly withdrew the previously tendered consent on our pnrt for 6rading Plnn Option A with drninage to the east. The Ramnlingam Family confirms the verbal withdrawal of consent for Grnding Plan Option A with drainage to the east, with this written withdrnwal of consent. We also wish to go on record that while we did not oppose the plan with a privnte road, we are very much opposed to the switched plan with a public road in the property nt 2201 Acorn Road. We regret to note thnt the City is also making an indefinite commitment for services on a new public road, which in effect amounts to a favorable trentment for one (or a subsidy for) property owner, when a majority of the property owners in Acorn Road are in opposition to the proposed changes.
