<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING <br />OF CITY COUNCIL <br />OF CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Roseville, <br />Minnesota, was held in the City Hall in said City on Monday, September 27, 1999 at 6:30 o'clock p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Maschka, Mastel, Wiski, Goedeke and the following were <br />absent: Wall. <br /> <br />Councilmember Mastel introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 9691 <br /> <br />AUTHORIZATION OF RIGHT-OF-WAY PERMIT FEES <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on August 24, 1998, the City Council adopted a Right-of-way Management Ordinance <br />(City Code Chapter 707); <br /> <br />AND WHEREAS, the Right-of-way Ordinance allows the City to manage the location, construction, <br />repair and maintenance of utilities to ensure that public interests are protected; <br /> <br />AND WHEREAS, a permitting system has been developed that will enable the City to monitor <br />activity in the right-of-way and track utility installation, right-of-way restoration, and any <br />degradation caused by activities within the right-of-way; <br /> <br />AND WHEREAS, the City of Roseville has established the following Right-of-way permit fee <br />schedule: <br /> <br />1. Registration Fee <br />2. Excavation Permit Fee <br />3. Obstruction Permit Fee <br />4. Delay Penalty <br />5. Permit Extension <br />6. Degradation Fee <br /> <br />$50/ Annually <br />$150 first 66 feet plus $4/ft thereafter <br />$50 plus $0.06/ LF <br />$25 plus $25/ week <br />If not applied for-double fee <br />Depends on street condition <br /> <br />THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED the City of Roseville authorizes that Right-of-way permits and <br />fees will apply to all utility operations in public right-of-ways including gas, electric, telephone, <br />cable TV, municipal sewer and water and private utility contractors. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Maschka and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Maschka, Mastel, <br />Wiski, Goedeke, and the following voted against the same: none. <br />
