EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF CITY COUNCIL OF CITY OF ROSEVILLE RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota, was held in the City Hall in said City on Monday, September 27, 1999 at 6:30 o'clock p.m. The following members were present: Maschka, Mastel, Wiski, Goedeke and the following were absent: Wall. Councilmember Mastel introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION 9691 AUTHORIZATION OF RIGHT-OF-WAY PERMIT FEES WHEREAS, on August 24, 1998, the City Council adopted a Right-of-way Management Ordinance (City Code Chapter 707); AND WHEREAS, the Right-of-way Ordinance allows the City to manage the location, construction, repair and maintenance of utilities to ensure that public interests are protected; AND WHEREAS, a permitting system has been developed that will enable the City to monitor activity in the right-of-way and track utility installation, right-of-way restoration, and any degradation caused by activities within the right-of-way; AND WHEREAS, the City of Roseville has established the following Right-of-way permit fee schedule: 1. Registration Fee 2. Excavation Permit Fee 3. Obstruction Permit Fee 4. Delay Penalty 5. Permit Extension 6. Degradation Fee $50/ Annually $150 first 66 feet plus $4/ft thereafter $50 plus $0.06/ LF $25 plus $25/ week If not applied for-double fee Depends on street condition THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED the City of Roseville authorizes that Right-of-way permits and fees will apply to all utility operations in public right-of-ways including gas, electric, telephone, cable TV, municipal sewer and water and private utility contractors. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Maschka and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Maschka, Mastel, Wiski, Goedeke, and the following voted against the same: none.
