� <br />REQUEST FOR VARIANCE BOARD ACTION <br />DATE: 7/1/2009 <br />ITEM NO: 4a <br />Approval: <br />Agenda Section: <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />Item Description: Request by Thomas Martin for approval of a variance to §1017 <br />(Shoreland Management) to allow a porch expansion that would <br />encroach further into the required shoreland setback at 361 South Owasso <br />Boulevard (PF09-016) <br />1.O REQUESTED ACTION <br />Mr. Martin seeks a vAx�A1vCE to § 1017 (Shoreland Management Districts) of the City <br />Code to allow the construction of a porch which would encroach 4 feet farther into the <br />required setback from the Ordinary High Water Level of Lake Owasso. <br />Project Review History <br />• Application submitted and determined complete: May 18, 2009 <br />• Sixty-day review deadline: July 17, 2009 <br />• Project report written: June 25, 2009 <br />• Anticipated Variance Board action: July 1, 2009 <br />2.O SUMMARY OF RECOMMENDATION <br />The Planning Division recommends approval of the requested vAx�ANCE to § 1017 of the <br />City Code; see Section 5 of this report for further information and Section 6 of this report <br />for the detailed recommendation. <br />3.O SUGGESTED ACTION <br />Adopt Variance Board Resolution 86 approving vAR1ANCES to § 1017 of the City Code; <br />see Section 7 of this report for details. <br />4.O BACKGROUND <br />Mr. Martin owns the residential property at 361 South Owasso Boulevard.
