This letter initiates the Administrative Offense process. It describes the original violations
observed on your property, corrective actions required on your part, and includes an
Administrative Offense ticket. With payment of the ticket and correction of the identified
violations this case will be closed, it will not become a criminal case and no additional
action by the City will occur.
If you should agree to cooperate with the Administrative Offense process but feel the
ticket is unwarranted or the stated violations identified are incorrect, you may appeal. To
initiate an appeal you must request a hearing with the City of Roseville Administration
Department (651-792-7001) within seven days of postmark of this letter. This is an
informal hearing including you, a hearing ofiicer and the City's Codes Coordinator. You
will be allowed the opportunity to speak so please come prepared with reasoning to
support your appeal. The hearing officer will make a final decision.
Again, please keep in mind that the Administrative Offense process is intended to avoid
potentially lengthy and expensive court proceedings. If you choose not to pay the fine
and/or not bring the property into compliance the City may, at its option, continue
enforcement efforts by issuing a Ramsey County Court Citation or pursue other options
allowed by law.
If you have any questions regarding either the Administrative Offense process or the
Ramsey County Court Citation process, please contact me at 651-792-7081.
Sincerely,
Don Munson
Codes Coordinator, City of Roseville
cc: Bill Malinen, City Manager
Pat Trudgeon, Community Development Director
File
2009 Seasonal Inspector Handbook
 - Page 19
