According to Minnesota Statute 15.99, Roseville has until July 23, 2010 to take formal action based on the date of your application, but because you did not receive the letter (dated and mailed June 10, 2010) identifying some additional information needed by City staff in order to properly review your proposal, the public hearing for your application had to be pushed back a month. Consequently, the City Council will not be able to approve or deny the proposed conditional use by the July 23rd deadline. To deal with a situation like this in which lingering issues need to be resolved, Minnesota Statute 15.99 also allows the City one opporiunity to extend the time allowed for final action approving or denying requests for an additional 60 days. The intent of this letter is to notify you that the time limit for final action on the proposed interim use is being extended. While Roseville now has until September 21, 2010 to finally approve or deny the application, the City has no interest in the process lasting longer than necessary, and we will make every reasonable effort to achieve a resolution of the application as quickly as possible. We expect to bring your application to the Planning Commission at its August 4th meeting for the required Public Hearing, which means that the City Council should be able to take action on both the City Code amendment and your minor subdivision by August 23`a Please feel free call me at 651-792-7071 if you have any questions or concerns.
