--
October 7, 2010
Bill Rodrique
1015 Judith Avenue
Roseville, MN 55113
RE: Variance denial
Dear Mr. Rodrique,
. J
As you know, the Variance Board denied your requested variances to the required setbacks from
the front and street-side property lines following the public hearing held on October 6, 2010. The
decision of the Variance Board is final unless it is appealed.
If you choose to appeal the decision of the Variance Board, you must submit a letter and the
required $250 fee to the City Manager by noon on October 18, 2010. Based on my understanding
of your situation from our previous conversations, I believe that such a letter should indicate that
you're appealing the denial because you believe that, with all of the building issues you have,
you actually don't have "reasonable use" of your property under the requirements of the zoning
code and that you need the variance to relieve this "hardship". From the date an appeal letter
reaches the City Manager, the Council has 30 days to address your appeal at one of its upcoming
meetings; exactly when will depend on the Council's agendas for the possible meeting dates
within that timeline.
Should you have any questions or comments, please do not hesitate to call me at 651-792-7073.
Sincerely,
CITY OF ROSEVILLE
Bryan Lloyd
Associate Planner
City of Roseville Community Development Department
2660 Civic Center Drive S• Roseville, Minnesota 55113
651-792-7005 ❖ www.ci.roseville.mn.us/development
