Variance Board Meeting <br />Minutes – Wednesday, March 6, 2013 <br />Page 5 <br />MOTION <br />195 <br />Member Boguszewski moved, seconded by Member Gisselquist, to adopt Variance <br />196 <br />Board Resolution No. 96 entitled, A Resolution APPROVING a VARIANCE to <br />197 <br />Roseville City Code, Section 1011.12G1 (Telecommunication Tower Facilities) <br />198 <br />(PF13-003);” as detailed and based on the comments and findings outlined in <br />199 <br />Sections 4 – 6 of the staff report dated March 6, 2013. <br />200 <br />Ayes: 2 <br />201 <br />Nays: 0 <br />202 <br />Motion carried. <br />203 <br />Chair Gisselquist reviewed the ten-day appeal period and process, as detailed in the staff <br />204 <br />report. <br />205 <br />Other Business <br />206 <br />City Planner Paschke reiterated Mr. Lloyd’s comments regarding the proposed 2013 work plan to review <br />207 <br />this portion of the code; further noting that the tower installation of Reservoir Woods predated the City’s <br />208 <br />current telecommunications ordinance, and some of those existing things may not meet even current City <br />209 <br />code requirements. Mr. Paschke advised that the issue would come back before the Planning <br />210 <br />Commission for initial discussion for upgrading that portion of the code, anticipating design standards that <br />211 <br />would allow more flexibility. <br />212 <br />Also, Mr. Paschke advised that, if the body had some interest in having further discussion on the design <br />213 <br />standards from tonight’s variance denial regarding garage design standards, it should make a motion to <br />214 <br />place it on the docket later this year, once a full Planning Commission was seated, probably in May of <br />215 <br />2013. <br />216 <br />MOTION <br />217 <br />Boguszewski moved, Gisselquist seconded, directing staff to bring additional discussion before <br />218 <br />the Planning Commission for potential recommendations to the City Council on a potential Text <br />219 <br />Amendment to Roseville City Code, Section 1004.05 (Residential Design Standards) in accordance <br />220 <br />with discussion held earlier tonight. <br />221 <br />Ayes: 2 <br />222 <br />Nays: 0 <br />223 <br />Motion carried. <br />224 <br />5.
