Staff REQUEST FOR HRA ACTION Date: 02 -19 -13 Item No: 9e Agenda Section: Item Description: Appoint two RHRA board members for the Corridor Development Initiative (CDI) Advisory Group for 2325 Dale St/Fire Station Site (HF_0117) 1.0 Requested Action Appoint two board members for the CDI Advisory Group for the redevelopment of 2325 Dale Street and Dale Street Fire Station 2.0 Background At the last RHRA meeting the board authorized staff to use the Corridor Development Initiative (CDI) process for the redevelopment of 2325 Dale Street/ Fire Station #3. The CDI process is composed of a series of community workshops to engage a range of stakeholders around specific development opportunity sites, and to articulate common values that will guide fixture development. By incorporating a financial analysis into the development scenarios, the process takes into account market realities and what types of uses are best suited for the site. The process will be guided by an Advisory Group. The Advisory Group will define the work plan and timeline for the process, identify the technical supports needed, and oversee the process to assure its success. The neighborhood will be invited to participate in the process, workshops, and outcomes of the preferred development for the sites. At this time we are assembling an Advisory Group for the CDI process. We have representation of two council members Tammy McGhee and Jason Etten, previous owner Fred O'Neil, one property owner adjacent to the Fire Station #3 Ken Hartman, King of Kings principal Dan Maser, Pat Trudgeon, Jeanne Kelsey, Barbara Raye and Gretchen Nicholls who will be facilitate the CDI process. We would like representation of two RHRA board members. The first meeting for the Advisory Group is February 20s' at 12 noon at City Hall. The entire council and RHRA will be invited to participate in the whole CDI process which will occur over a couple of public meetings. 10 Staff Recommended Action Staff is recommending that the RHRA board discuss and appoint two representatives of the RHRA board to participate in the advisory group for the CDI process.
