<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the <br />City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was duly called and held at the City Hall on <br />Monday, the 10th day of January, 2000 at 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Mastel, Maschka, Wiski and Kysylyczyn <br />and the following were absent: Goedeke <br /> <br />Member Kysylyczyn introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 9732 <br />RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING PRIORITIES FOR ROSEVILLE AND RAMSEY <br />COUNTY COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANTS (CDBG) AND HOME <br />INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIP (HOME) FUNDS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Roseville Comprehensive Plan adopted by the City Council provides <br />specific goals to provide a variety of housing types, improve the quality of below average <br />housing unites, fill the gaps to enable all stages of life cycle housing for entry level to senior <br />citizens, assist entry level family housing and retain and expand the business community; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Roseville has, since 1985, continued to be an active participant <br />in the Ramsey County CDBG and HOME Programs; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, annually the City Council establishes goals for housing and economic <br />development and recommends priorities for the Ramsey County CDBG and HOME project <br />funding. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the City Council of the City of <br />Roseville hereby establishes the following five City of Roseville and County CDBG/HO ME <br />housing and economic development funding priorities (1 is highest rating, 5 is lowest rating): <br /> <br />1. Rehabilitation of owner-occupied single family property <br />2. Homeownership for first time buyers who are low to moderate income <br />3. New affordable housing construction - senior/special needs <br />4. Rehabilitation of rental properties <br />5. Job creation (funding of County wide demographic study demonstrating need for <br />housing and job creation) <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council <br />Member Wiski and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor: Mastel, <br />Maschka, Wiski and Kysylyczyn, and the following voted against the same: None <br /> <br />WHERE UPON, said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />\\Victoria\CommDev\Housing\2000 County Priorities.RES.doc <br />
