City of Roseville <br />ORDINANCE NO. ________ 1 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SELECTED TE XT PERTAINING TO OUTDOOR STORAGE 2 <br />IN CHAPTERS 1001 (INTRODUCTION), 1005 (COMMERCIAL AND MIXED-USE 3 <br />DISTRICTS), 1006 (EMPLOYMENT DISTRICTS), 1009 (PROCEDURES), AND 1011 4 <br />(PROPERTY PERFORMANCE STANDARDS) OF TITLE 10 “ZONING CODE” OF THE 5 <br />ROSEVILLE CITY CODE 6 <br />THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE ORDAINS: 7 <br />SECTION 1. Purpose: The Roseville City Code is hereby amended to improve outdoor storage 8 <br />regulations by amending the definition and revising how and where outdoor storage is allowed. 9 <br />SECTION 2. Chapter 1001 is hereby amended as follows: 10 <br />City Code §1001.10 (Definitions) 11 <br />Outdoor storage , equipment and goods : Permanent storage Storage of goods, materials, equipment (e.g., 12 <br />household lawn/garden implements, larger construction equipment, trailers, etc.), or fleet or 13 <br />service vehicles salable goods on racks, pallets, bundles, etc., outside of an enclosed building. Off-14 <br />street parking of customer or employee vehicles is not considered “outdoor storage.” For the 15 <br />purpose of outdoor storage regulation, “equipment” does not include snow removal machinery 16 <br />that may be seasonally present on a property for on-site use. 17 <br />Outdoor storage, fleet vehicles: Storage outside of an enclosed building of fleet vehicles, ranging in 18 <br />size from passenger cars to commercial trucks, which are in active use by a rental agency, 19 <br />dispatch service, or other similar distribution or transportation service. Inoperable vehicles in 20 <br />need of repair or vehicles which are stored for seasonal use (e.g., snow plows in summer 21 <br />months) are defined and regulated as inoperable/out of service vehicles or equipment. 22 <br />Outdoor storage, inoperable/out of service vehicles or equipment: Storage outside of an enclosed 23 <br />building of vehicles or equipment which are in need of repair or unused for more than 72 hours. 24 <br />Outdoor storage, loose materials: Storage outside of an enclosed building of gravel, rock, mulch, 25 <br />sand, salt, or other such material stored in piles or bins.26 <br />$WWDFKPHQW% <br />3DJHRI
